Skorpios Technologies Announces Broadex as Customer for 400G Engine
Skorpios Technologies added BroadEx Technologies as a customer for the SKRP4501 400G-FR4 Optical Engine. The multichip module combines HPIC transmit/receive functions with integrated TIA amplification and DSP to support datacenter interconnect links up to 2 km. Skorpios presented the Engine at the Optical Fiber Conference in San Diego.

Skorpios Technologies announced volume pricing under $0.15 per Gb/s for CWDM4 and FR4 optical transmit/receive pairs covering 100G-CWDM4, 200G-FR4 and 400G-FR4. The company will demonstrate SKRP2035 (transmitter) and SKRP2025 (receiver) HPICs at OFC 2022, with volume availability in the second half of 2022.
